TV/Film

You will be taught the different techniques required in acting in front of a camera as well as an in depth look at the casting process for commercials and TV/film.

You will have the opportunity to see your self on tape followed by a discussion on how you could improve.

Casting

Casting directors will give advice on what they actually look for, helping you to be fully prepared when presenting yourself for acting work. In addition to the Industry Show Case, three extra evenings are set aside for guest Casting Directors:

Annelie Powell (Holby City) www.powellcasting.com , Carolyn McLeod (The Bill) www.cmcasting.co.uk & Jane Frisby (Doghouse, Shopping) www.janefrisby.com) are confirmed for this term.

Towards the end of the second part of the term

Students prepare for a showcase evening held at a London venue (tbc) and we produce a professional flyer to promote the evening. This is an excellent opportunity to promote yourself to invited industry professionals. Friends and family will also be invited to see the results of your work on stage in a presentation of dramatic duologues.

LAW Showcase

The workshop is at our studio in Covent Garden and will take place every Sunday for twelve weeks from Sunday 22nd January - Sunday 8th April, with the showcase on 16th Aprill 2012.

Testimonials

Great value for money. The sessions on casting technique and character building certainly helped me secure 2 roles last year.

Brilliant! This course has really given me so much to think about. I want to continue learning with every tutor we've had because each class has been so invaluable. They really have given a massive step up.

Ivy Corbin

I really enjoyed what the classes had to offer and working with a variety of tutors stretched and challenged me and kept me interested and wanting to learn more.

Tracy-Lee Gardener

"I took this course on the recommendation of a friend, who had previously done it herself, and also because of the variety it afforded me. Every week was a challenge and great fun - a lot of the classes were camera-focused which was incredibly useful considering the work you are up for these days and I came away with solid tips and more self-confidence which I have since applied to castings, auditions and other workshops."
